BRUNEI COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM LOCATIONSBrudirect.com? - Local NewsBandar Seri Begawan - Nearly 70 phone cards worth over $1,200 were stolen in the past seven days, police revealed.
The stolen phone cards consisted of 22 Net cards of $5 denomination, 20 Zippi cards of $10 value and 25 Easi cards of the amounts of $20, $40 and $100.
Other items stolen during that period included an ATM close circuit TV camera, a golf bag, two television sets, a computer, a telephone set, a speaker, a passport, a video camera and a digital camera.
Also reported stolen were two handbags containing cash amounting to $6,390, jewellery, a VCD player, a computer laptop, a mobile phone and important documents including driving licence and a passport, as well as cash totalling $382.
Two men were arrested in connection with the thefts that occurred in variouslocations including The Mall, Hua Ho Sengkurong, Kg. Sg. Tampoi, a shopping outlet in Yayasan, Ramadhan stall in Kiulap, Kg. Pengkalan Gadong, Jln Mumong Selatan, Kg. Kiarong, Lambak Kiri housing scheme, a shop at Mulaut shopping complex, Kg. Pelambayan, office at UBD, a flat in Kg. Serusop and in Kg. Katok. In the total, 13 theft cases were recorded inside buildings during the past one week.
Meanwhile six theft cases were also recorded at Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah stall, a filling station in Belait, Kg. Sg Tilong, Kawasan Lorong 3, Jln Anduki and in Jln Berakas. Items lost were a gas cylinder, $10 in cash, seven oil container corks, two oil measuring scales, five electrical fuses, a container and several road dividers steel.
Other cases were a car break-in and theft in which a CD player was stolen, a stolen car case, two fraud cases, a sudden death, rape, two cases of small fires in Rimba clinic and in Kg. Delima Satu, seven cases of causing injury to a person-and eight vandalism cases.
Also recorded were a "religious" case, a misuse of drugs case in which two suspects were detained as well as three immigration cases involving 34 foreign workers. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
