A burglar removed a computer from an Austin business Thursday night or Friday morning.

An employee at Austin Dry Cleaners reported finding the south door open at 6:30 a.m. Friday on the 911 Oakland Avenue West business. The windows and doors had reportedly been locked the night before but there were no signs of forced entry, Capt. Curt Rude said.

A computer, monitor and keyboard were taken, as were keys to items inside the building. The theft took place between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday.

An apparent blood smear near a screen at the front desk was cataloged but may not be related.
