Teens use stolen keys to break into school
MOUNT VERNON, Iowa (AP) -- Four teenagers who police say used copies of stolen keys to break into Mount Vernon High School have been arrested.

Police responded on Monday to a report of a burglary and theft at the school. School officials reported that computers and music equipment were taken sometime during the previous weekend.

Police said Clayton Niehaus, 18, of Martelle, obtained and made copies of keys to the school. He gave the copies to Nathan Guillaume, 17, of Mount Vernon, police said.

Guillaume then shared the keys with Jake Vozenilek, 17, and Luke Schreder, 18, both of Mount Vernon, police said.

They said Guillaume, Vozenilek and Schreder used the keys to get into different areas of the school.

Computer equipment valued at about $10,000 and music equipment valued at about $1,000 was taken from the school, police said.

Most of the stolen items were found during a search of a home belonging to Vozenilek's sister, police said.

Schreder, Guillaume and Vozenilek each were charged with third-degree burglary. Niehaus was charged with aiding and abetting burglary.

Niehaus and Schreder were released on a delay of initial appearance. Vozenilek and Guillaume were released to the custody of their parents.
