ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Albuquerque police said a former employee at the Presbyterian Administration Building in Southeast might have stolen personal financial information.
The former employee stole several pieces of computer equipment and documents, many containing 'pretty straight names and credit card numbers,' said Trish Hoffman, of the Albuquerque Police Department.
Presbyterian said there has been no indication of fraud with the stolen information at this point, but said it is taking no risks.
All of the patients whose information was stolen are being notified.
Presbyterian said it is also taking extra steps to protect those patients' identities.
They said anyone whose information was potentially stolen can sign up for credit card protection, and Presbyterian will pick up the tab."
