Channagiri police arrested a notorious thief and recovered property worth Rs four lakh from him, today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Panduranga Sahu told newspersons here that ten motorcycles, eight submersible pumpsets and a computer stolen from a school were recovered from the arrested, Prakash (35) of Chitradurga district.

Prakash, wanted by Shimoga, Chickmagalur, Chitradurga and Davanagere district police in several criminal cases, was later remanded to judicial custody by the District Sessions Court."
