Camrose Canadian - Ashley Petersen of Camrose has been charged with possession of stolen property after an incident in Wetaskiwin, April 2.
In the early morning hours of April 2, Wetaskiwin RCMP noted suspicious activity in a hotel parking lot. Two suspects were noticed sitting in a car next to a mini van and it was determined to be a stolen vehicle.
Both of the occupants were arrested, interviewed and later charged with possession of stolen property. The investigation determined the suspects were going to buy crack cocaine from the occupant of the mini van. Members discovered a small plastic box between the front seats of the mini van and it contained a large quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia. RCMP seized 13 grams of crack cocaine, 20 grams of crystal meth and scales, as well as several pieces of stolen property including three laptop computers.
Lois Lee Theroux, 42, of Wetaskiwin, faces charges of trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Cortney Blair Lingen, 25, of Wetaskiwin, and Ashley Petersen, 20, of Camrose, have been charged with possession of stolen property."
