Reported by Jennifer Cavazos
Several burglaries in Cameron County lead officers to arrest four people and in the process they discover a house full of stolen property.
Cameron County investigators began to look into the areas of Altas Palmas, Stuart Place and Bass Boulevard when a large number of burglaries were taking place in those areas.
They began their investigation last week and Wednesday they were able to arrest Benito Salinas, Esteban Salinas, Maria Salinas and Alejandro Salinas.
These four are suspected of burglarizing the homes in the specific areas.
Investigators found more than $10,000 worth of stolen property, including televisions sets, DVD's, computers and lawn mowers along with thousands of dollars in cash.
Officers say their investigation isn't over yet.
'There may be others that have been burglarized and we have not gotten to them at this point. We are still talking to the suspects and if they are cooperative, we may be able to obtain more equipment they stole from residents,' says Cameron County Chief Deputy Gus Reyna.
All four suspects are looking at charges of theft by possession, attempted theft and burglary of a building along with possession of a controlled substance.
Investigators are hoping those who were burglarized can come forward to their property.
