FLORIDA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM BUSINESS http://www.nbc6.net/news/9242264/detail.html
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Hollywood police said a surveillance camera was rolling when some burglars broke into a computer store and stole some expensive merchandise early Thursday morning.
A surveillance camera showed one man wearing a bandana around his face pacing back and forth in front of Skytel Direct, as another man with dreadlocks smashes the glass door.
"They ran into the front room, which you'll see on the surveillance tape as well. They go under the counter and steal a CPU and computer system out of the front and run to the back and steal two CPUs, and this all took three minutes," said the store's owner, Sal Peer
The thieves got away with $3,000 in computer equipment, NBC 6's Sharon Lawson reported.
This is the second time in the last two months Peer's business has been targeted. He said that was why he put security measures in place.
"I tinted the back windows as well. I didn't think it could happen. First of all, there's nothing for them to see in the back. And, I also put a sign up of security cameras, you know -- 'surveillance cameras 24 hours a day remote recording' -- and that didn't scare them in the least," Peer said.
Hollywood police are investigating the theft. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS
