Imphal, October 30: The Central Agriculture University, Iroishemba was robbed of its Xerox machines, computer sets and some other office materials last night.

A case has been registered in Lamphel police station in connection with the theft.

According to Lamphel Police, three computer sets were confiscated after over powering the guards posted at the entrance of CAU.

While the guards were unarmed being private security guards, the robbers were armed.

The robbers numbering 3/4 came in a DI Tata at around 11 pm yesterday.

The robbers broke open the locks of the rooms belonging to the Dean of CAU, cashier and the Director (instruction) and decamped with three computer sets.

Following a report filed by the Dean of the University at Lamphel police station today, police have registered a case and launched investigation into the robbing incident.
