GEORGIA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM HIGH SCHOOL http://www.11alive.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=87348
A string of burglaries at DeKalb County high schools has police asking for help in finding a suspect. Investigators believe the same man broke into the schools four times in the last two weeks, leaving with about $40,000 worth of equipment.
Someone broke into Druid Hills High School on Tuesday night, and stole some computers and electronic equipment -- just the latest in a string of burglaries that police say they believe was pulled off by the same person.
Over the past two weeks, they say the suspect has hit Cross Keys High School three times, and in all four burglaries, the thief takes the same items -- computers, laptops and multimedia projectors. In the Cross Keys crimes, the thief may have had a key to get in.
“It’s fairly unusual to have a string this close together with that type of equipment,” said J.M. Wood-Shuffett of the DeKalb School Police. “Most of the time our burglaries tend to be vandalism or light thefts, or petty cash, drink machines from the cafeteria. We very seldom get one where they are actually taking school equipment in large quantities like this.”
Detectives say he operates between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. They ask anyone with any information to contact the DeKalb County School Police.
