INDIANA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM COLLEGE APARTMENTS WTHR - Indianapolis News and Weather - Thieves hit off-campus apartments:
Munice - Thieves near the Ball State campus decided Thanksgiving night was about stuffing their getaway car instead of filling up on turkey. Students living in six units at the Cardinal College Apartments came back to find their doors kicked in and their valuables stolen.

The doors are badly dented and a line of bolts now hold them shut.

Students renting at the Cardinal College Apartments on Dill Street near the Ball State campus say a pair of thieves broke into six of nine units while they were away Thanksgiving night.

'I was pretty scared to come back. I don't know, I didn't want to sleep here anymore or live here anymore,' said Angela Vorndran.

Many of the victims are now staying with friends or family. Angela and her roommate are fortunate but their friends are not.

The culprits stole thousands of dollars worth of valuables and electronics even computers that stored weeks worth of homework.

Angela says, 'They got all three of their laptops were stolen, PlayStation 2's and select DVD's.'

That Thanksgiving night, Angela's roommate was home and could hear doors getting kicked in for an hour straight.

'She's fine, but she called the police and they didn't come for like a half hour, so she called them again and finally they came,' said Angela.
