6 million yen's worth of computers stolen from electric appliance shop in Ibaraki

INASHIKI, Ibaraki -- About 40 computers have been stolen from an electric appliance retail store here, police said Saturday.

At about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, an alarm system went off at a K's Denki outlet in Inashiki, local police said. A security company monitoring the system alerted local police, which dispatched officers to the store.

Officers have confirmed that 40 personal computers, worth about 6 million yen, have disappeared from its warehouse.

The employee entrance to the store had been pried open and the door to the warehouse, situated inside the store, was not locked. No employees were inside the store at the time of the incident. (Mainichi)"
