North West police say thieves have stolen 800 IDs from the Garankuwa home affairs offices. Police say the robbers also took five computers worth more than R20 000. The robbers used a crowbar to break open doors to rooms where the IDs were stored.

Home affairs department says the computers were used to store valuable information of new IDs, birth and death certificates applications. Police have launch a manhunt for the robbers.
