TEXAS COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM SALVATION ARMY CENTER KAUZ News Channel 6 - Local Top Stories - Salvation Army Hit By Burglers: "Wichita Falls police are investigating a break-in at the Salvation Army Center on Seymour Highway. The break in happened sometime after Tuesday night after people left the building. The crooks stole 5-thousand dollars worth of computers and other items from the center.
The crime at this Salvation Army was a big blow to efforts of the organization. Salvation Army Captain Tex Ellis and his wife got a big surprise when they went to the salvation army for a youth group meeting wednesday night. Ellis noticed a broken window at the back door. Her first though was that she was affraid to see what had happened of if anyone was still here.
She started looking around and called the police and she noticed the computers stolen from the computer room. Not only were four lap top computers taken but a microphone, and a guitar amplifer. The theft leaves the center with a big whole to fill. At first you want to feel angry but then you have to remember who ever had a reason to do it. I don't know, we see all kinds of people with the programs we provide.
Bottom line Ellis wants the stuff stolen returned. Our main goal if someone is out there and still have the items we just want you to bring it back to us. That's our only intention is to get back what was taken. Ellis hopes to have stolen items replace sometime"
