Police recover items stolen from Vere Technical High School

The Area Three Police have detained six persons in connection with Monday’s break-in at the Vere Technical High School in which 12 computers were stolen.

The men were detained after the police recovered 12 monitors and 11 of 12 CPUs stolen from the school.

The police also recovered a multi-purpose projector and an entertainment music system stolen by the bandits.

The items were recovered in Old Harbour, St. Catherine and five communities in May Pen, Clarendon.

Crime Chief for the Area Three Police, Deputy Superintendent Cleon March, told the RJR News Centre that the six suspects are now being questioned.

It is reported that on Tuesday, the Principal of the school went to the institution and discovered that thieves had broken into the building and removed thecomputers.

The main suspect was arrested on Thursday after he was reportedly held with one of the computers.

The other persons were picked up between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon.
