Man arrested after search turns up meth, marijuana
A Lyle man was arrested at his residence at 9 a.m. Tuesday during a drug warrant search conducted by the Mower County Sheriff's Department.
According to Sheriff Terese Amazi, methamphetamine and marijuana was discovered at the residence. An 11-year-old child, who was in school at the time, was later taken into protective custody.
Amazi said she expects the suspect to be charged today.

After receiving at least 15 phone calls about the matter, Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp would like to assure the public that those who have been customers of Fuller Tax Service do not have to worry about their personal information has been stolen.
On Nov. 24, Marvin Fuller reported he suspected his son, Kip Fuller, had stolen two computers from Fuller Tax Service.
Marvin Fuller's wife, Ardy, had ran the business and did not leave a will when she died. The business is now closed.
The locks were changed on the building, however Kip Fuller allegedly stole two computers with a value estimated at $1,500. The computer contained tax information from the business server. Kip Fuller admitted to taking only one computer.
The family sent letters to the editor at the Albert Lea Tribune warning former customers their information may have been stolen and to report it to the police.
The Austin Police Department investigated the matter and referred it to the county attorney.
