SENSITIVE political information has been stolen from Liberal Democrat activist Qassim Afzal.
Mr Afzal, who sits on the federal executive committee which manages party business, was shocked to discover his Cheetham Hill premises had been raided.
The thief removed a pane of glass and stole only a monitor and a hard-drive. He left behind electrical equipment and valuables, including a camcorder and gifts from Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf.
Mr Afzal, 46, a former councillor for Cheetham Hill, also sits on his party's international relations executive committee.His computer contained correspondence with high-ranking Lib Dems, including party leader Menzies Campbell, and President Musharraf as well as constituency case work.
Mr Afzal, who is offering a £500 reward for its return, said: "I feel completely violated. The security of me and my family has been compromised."
