CALIFORNIA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM BUSINESS The Signal: News for Santa Clarita Valley, California:
Valencia
A Valencia man reported that between Jan. 12 and 15 someone broke into the Capital Pacific Homes apartment complex in Valencia and stole approximately $4,000 worth of computer items, according to sheriff's reports. Upon returning to work Monday morning, the man noticed back windows of an office building had been smashed and two computers, an Internet card and a computer monitor had been taken. He told deputies that the office security cameras were not functioning properly and would likely cause a delay when surveillance tapes could be checked. No arrests have been made.
A similar incident took place between Saturday night and Monday morning when someone allegedly broke into the Westinghouse P.C. store in Valencia and stole $6,800 worth of computers and other electronic items. As in the previous incident, the security alarm system was malfunctioning and therefore no video footage available to review. No arrests have been made at this time."
