Computers stolen
SNELLVILLE - Burglaries of nine trailers at Norton Elementary resulted in the loss of $13,500 in school property, according to a Gwinnett County school police report.
The break-ins happened between 7:45 p.m. Dec. 18 and 6 a.m. Dec. 19. The door windows of the trailers were broken out, and the burglar then unlocked the doors by reaching in, the report states.
Once inside, the burglar forced open file cabinets and threw things on the floor. Three laptops valued at $2,500 each were stolen, said Quintana. The school system will replace the laptops, he said.
Police had made no arrests in the case as of press time Wednesday.
