INDIA COMPUTER STOLEN FROM SCHOOL Jewellery worth Rs 50,000 stolen-Chandigarh-Cities-NEWS-The Times of India:
CHANDIGARH: Thieves targeted Sector 10 Post Office and DAV College on Thursday night, while jewellery worth Rs 50,000 was decamped in daylight from an Alto car parked before Tahal Singh chicken corner in Sector 22 on Friday.
Sources informed that thieves took away a computer set and other machineries from DAV College and ransacked the post-office also but only managed to steal a heater. Two cases of theft were registered at Sector 3 police station.
Sector 21 resident Yogesh Kumar, whose jewellery worth Rs 50,000 was stolen from his parked Alto car in Sector 22, said that he had withdrawn the gold ornaments from his locker.
And he was purchasing chicken when thieves managed to open his car and decamp with the jewellery. A case has been registered at Sector 17 police station.
Besides, two men duped a gold chain from a woman, resident of Sector 29, on Friday. Sources said they lured the lady saying they would double her jewellery but escaped with her chain.
Moreover, Industrial Area police station was not ready to register the case despite the detection of the crime."
