JENISON -- Two local sheriff's departments are working together to solve a string of break-ins.

Authorities say several businesses and schools in Kent and Ottawa counties have been broken into in the past couple of weeks.

Superintendent of Jenison Public Schools Tom Tenbrink had his laptop computer stolen after thieves broke into the high school. Tenbrink says no sensitive information was on the computers.

Thieves also hit Freedom Baptist School, Rosewood Elementary School and Riley Street Middle School in Hudsonville, as well as Lowell High School.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department says it is close to identifying whoever is responsible."
