Kirksville men sent to prison for stealing computers

KIRKSVILLE - Two Kirksville men have been sent to prison after pleading guilty to charges they stole computers from a local business.
Robert Stifflemire, 22, and Melvin Lazear, 30, each pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony charge of stealing, according to Adair County Prosecutor Mark Williams.
They were both sentenced to five years in prison, and probation was denied by Circuit Judge Russell Steele.
Stifflemire and Lazear were arrested Oct. 24, 2006, after stealing two computers valued at more than $500 from Kirksville Feed and More Store.
