Orton Wistow Primary School was targeted some time between 7pm and 8pm on Friday, when the raiders smashed their way in through a window.
However, the burglary at the school in Wistow Way, Orton Wistow, Peterborough, wasn't discovered until the caretaker opened up at about 7.30am yesterday.
Staff discovered that five classrooms had been targeted during the break-in.
