STAUNTON — A man and his girlfriend were charged Sunday in the theft of a computer from the Staples store on Statler Boulevard, according to the Staunton Police Department.
Penny Lamb, 24, and Robert Pforr, 23, both of Waynesboro, are each charged with one count of grand larceny.
Pforr is accused of running out of the store the morning of Dec. 30 with a computer still in its box, police said. He jumped into an awaiting van and the vehicle sped away. Lamb’s role in the alleged crime was not listed in the police report, although Cpl. Kristie Siron said she was seen inside the store with Pforr prior to thetheft.
