FLORIDA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM BUSINESSES NBC2 News Online - Deputies solve 12 business burglaries, find truck loads of stolen property
CHARLOTTE COUNTY: Detective say they have solved at least 12 business burglaries and confiscated two pick-up truck loads worth of stolen items.
The main suspect in the case, 39-year-old Kenneth John Duperron Jr., is currently being held in the Sarasota County Jail after deputies there caught him robbing a business.
Detectives say the business burglaries in Charlotte County happened from August 2006 to January 2007.
After months of investigation, they got a search warrant this week for Duperron’s home at 169 Annapolis Lane in Rotunda West.
When they went inside they found dozens of suspected stolen items including tires, computers, laptop computes, automotive equipment, liquor and shoes. The items filled two pick-up trucks.
Several victims have already identified their property.

Nicolas Italian Kitchen - 4343 S. Access Rd., Englewood
Lanes Automotive - 3175 Placida Rd., Englewood
Mike Douglas Plumbing - 1650 Lantana Ave., Englewood
Jam’s Restaurant - 8501 Placida Rd., Englewood
Pro Sports - 12456 N. Access Rd., Port Charlotte
Sub Shack - 4275 S. Access Rd., Englewood
Stern’s Towing - 1590 S. McCall Rd., Englewood
Daniels Steak and Seafood - 3745 Cape Haze Drive, Rotonda
Rotonda Golf and Country Club - 266 Rotonda Cir., Rotonda West
Saint George Auto - 7165 Gasparilla Rd., Pt. Charlotte
Cape Haze Deli - 3755 Cape Haze Drive, Rotonda West
The investigation continues because Duperron is the main suspect in several other home, business and car burglaries.
He will stay in Sarasota County to finish serving an 8 month burglary sentence. After that he will be brought to Charlotte County to face burglary, grandtheft and other charges.
