Raids seize suspected stolen goods
February 02, 2007
THREE men have been charged after police seized a large amount of drugs, money and goods at three Melbourne properties today.
The arrests came after Task Force 500 had investigated reports of stolen goods over a four-month period, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
The items seized included $80,000 in cash, a high performance car, toolboxes, commercial tools, computer equipment and electrical goods, including plasma televisions.
The raids were on properties in Mill Park, Dandenong and Cranbourne.
Police said the recovered goods were stolen from commercial businesses across Melbourne.
Three Cranbourne East men, aged 34, 26 and 23, have been charged with trafficking, possessing and using methylamphetamine, handling stolen goods and possessing a dangerous weapon.
The men were bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates' Court on March 13.
Police also have interviewed a 30-year-old Epping man and a 37-year-old Dandenong man related to the investigation.
