Reward offered for stolen photos
A Waikato couple are offering a $1000 reward for the return of their computer which contained the only photos of their baby daughter Sarah.
Dominic O'Sullivan and wife Cara Jacobs' Hamilton home was burgled last Friday, and while other items were stolen it's the loss of the baby pictures which upset them most.
Their second daughter, Sarah Therese, born in September, lived for just two hours.
Photos from the couple's honeymoon, and of their two-year-old daughter Lucy, were also stored on the computer.
"It's the sentimental value (of them). They can't be replaced."
The couple will circulate 300 flyers around their Hillcrest neighbourhood to advertise the reward.
"We hope it will pull at people's heartstrings. We're really devastated - we don't care about the material things."
Dr O'Sullivan, a research fellow at Waikato University, said despite his daughter's short life, she was still "very much a part of the family. It was an invasion of our house, our home. It's an invasion of our security and privacy. We just want them back".
Ms Jacobs said the reward would be given on a no-questions-asked basis.
Contact Cara Jacobs on 027 2115 113 for reward details.
