Thieves steal Coraki school's computers

By JENNIE DELL
CORAKI Public School principal Geoff Spargo said it was ‘a sad day for Coraki‘ after he discovered thieves had broken into the school.
Computers and electronic equipment worth over $5000 were stolen after classroom windows were smashed to gain entry to the school some time between 5.30pm on Monday and 6am on Tuesday.
Mr Spargo told The Northern Star yesterday it had been the first break-in at the school for many years.
'The school is held in such high esteem by the town, but it seems this sort of event is part of life now,' he said.
Mr Spargo said the children were upset, but after talking through what had happened with their teachers, they got on with a normal school day."
