Two brothers face 129 charges in connection with dozens of break-ins at businesses across Durham region.
Over seven months beginning in September, restaurants and stores were broken into and had cash, cigarettes, televisions and computers stolen, Durham Region police said.
After a lengthy investigation, police arrested two men they believe are responsible for at least 63 commercial break-ins, primarily in the Pickering and Ajax area.
In addition to the stolen goods, businesses suffered tens of thousands of dollars in property damage, police said.
Shawn Issac Daigle, 29, of Toronto and Myles Parker Daigle, 18, of Pickering face 125 break-and-enter charges and four counts of wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime.
