College's computers stolen

BURGLARS broke into one of the city's most prestigious private schools and stole laptops, computers and cameras.

The offenders forced their way into George Watson's College, in Colinton Road, overnight between Sunday and Monday.

The school is still compiling a list of all the equipment taken and no value for the haul has been released. Police were called to the scene on Monday morning and have been appealing for witnesses.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "We would ask anyone who was in the area and saw something suspicious to please contact us."
