Computer equipment, money, cigarettes stolen

WATERLOO REGION (Apr 28, 2007)

Waterloo regional police were kept busy early yesterday morning investigating two separate break-ins at local businesses.

Thieves broke into Hollyoak on Regina Street North in Waterloo around 4:30 a.m. yesterday, stealing computer equipment. Police and a canine unit searched the area but couldn't find the suspects.

Half an hour later someone broke into Park Convenience on Park Street in Kitchener, stealing money and cigarettes.

In this case the suspect is described as a white man, between 35 and 45 year old, five feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds. He has short dirty blond hair with bangs and was wearing an old black leather jacket, jeans and a red flannel shirt.

Police and a canine unit also searched for this suspect but came up empty-handed.
