RACINE -
Police are investigating two burglaries of homes on the same street that occurred one day apart.

Racine police were called to the 300 block of Shelley Drive on Thursday for a report of a break in. Reports said the resident of the home left around 8:15 a.m. and when he returned at 4:30 p.m. he saw a brick had been thrown through the front window by the door. The door had been left open.

Police said a video game system and cash were taken. Reports said the entire house had been gone through.

On Friday, a man delivering kringle to a woman’s home in the 300 block of Shelley Drive found a rock had been taken from the yard and used to smash a rear patio door window. Police said a computer, shotgun, camera and cash were taken.

The second burglary occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:51 p.m.
