UPLAND - Four people were arrested Wednesday in connection with the burglary of an elementary school last week.

Upland police were alerted Nov. 8 to the burglary of a classroom at Peppertree Elementary School at 1045 W. 18th St. The burglary occurred between 2 and 3 a.m., according to a news release from the Upland Police Department.

The burglars stole computers and electronic equipment, sprayed a fire extinguisher into the room and scribbled graffiti on the walls.

Police received some leads on the crime after school officials sent out a flier detailing the crime to parents.

Detectives interviewed two suspects and got confessions. They found most of the stolen property after getting those confessions, according to the release.

Detectives later arrested two more people and recovered more of the stolen property.

Arrested on suspicion of burglary were Daniel Juarez, 18, Andrew Juarez, 18, and Steven Gonzalez, 18. Tyler Amrhein, 20, was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

All suspects were booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
