FLORIDA COMPUTER STOLEN Grand Theft Arrest - News | WMBB TV

The following was released by the DeFuniak Springs Police Department Tuesday:

Members of the DeFuniak Springs Police began an investigation of a Burglary and Grand Theft from an unoccupied dwelling located at 1768 Baldwin Ave. It was reported to the police department at 1323 hours, 11/12/07. The investigation lead to the arrest of a 17 year old white male, living at 595 Live Oak Ave, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

During the burglary, a T.V., a computer and related equipment, frozen food, jewelry, electronic equipment was stolen. Most of the items were recovered from the residence at 595 Live Oak Str. The victims home was ransacked and suffer damage in excess of $1000.00 dollars.

Arrested was Alexander Joseph Wood, DOB 8/2/1990, of 595 Live Oak Str. DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was charged with Burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, GrandTheft and Felony Criminal Mischief. He was booked into the Walton County Jail and released to his guardian. The investigation is continuing concerning other possible suspects.
