UPDATED: 11/26/07 6:30 PM EST
Lower Paxton Twp. police are hoping video surveillance will help them catch a man who stole about $2,400 worth of computers from Staples in the past three days.
The first incident happened Saturday about 11:15 a.m. at the store on Union Deposit Road. Police said video shows a man carry two Hewlett-Packard desktop computers into the stockroom in the rear of the store and walk through a back door. Employees saw the man enter a blue sport- utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Trailblazer, a drive away.
At 2:45 p.m. today, a similar incident was reported at the store and police believe the same man was involved.
The suspect is described as black, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. In today’s incident, he was wearing dark parts, a gray long-sleeve T-shirt with a large tiger or jaguar design on the front and a smaller design on the back, a white Philadelphia Phillies baseball cap and sneakers.
Anyone with information on the incidents can call police at 657-5656 or the department’s anonymous tip line at 635-2606.
