Theft from office
Someone broke into a yacht broker's office last week and stole merchandise worth nearly $7,000, city police said.
On Oct. 29, officers went to Yacht-Net Ltd., 1000 West St., for a report of a burglary.
Neal Barrett told police that someone entered the office some time between 3 p.m. Oct. 27 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 29. There was no sign of forced entry on doors or windows, police said. Three flat-screen computers, a laptop, three Cannon scanners and other merchandise were stolen, with a value of $6,900. Police are still investigating.
