Richmond Police Seek Leads In Equipment Theft At Wharton College
by FortBendNow Staff, Nov 27, 2007, 11 16 AMThe Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding people responsible for a theft last week, when $26,000 in computer hardware was stolen from Wharton Junior College’s Richmond campus.
According to a statement from the department, police were called to the campus, on F.M. 1640, on Wednesday, where officers discovered that eight overhead data/computer projectors had been stolen from eight classrooms. The college valued the projectors at $26,000.
College staff members told police they believe the theft may have occurred Tuesday between 7:15 a.m. and 10:15 p.m.
