GEORGIA STOLEN COMPUTERS RECOVERED AFTER ARRESTS Rome News - Tribune
Floyd County police are trying to determine if two men arrested for burglaries in Floyd County might be connected to burglaries in surrounding counties.
During the past week police investigators have recovered numerous stolen items from a burglary ring which also involved victims in several surrounding counties, investigator Sabrina Hall said in a news release today.
Recovered items included 22 firearms, 3 computers, 3 gun safes, jewelry, a compound bow, hundreds of rounds of various ammunition, and several other pieces of miscellaneous electronic equipment. Investigators retrieved thestolen property from a variety of places, including a back yard well, a storage unit, and the Coosa River.
On Nov. 9, Ronald Dewayne Hight, 38, Oliver Jesse Hight, 22, were each charged with two counts of burglary in Floyd County for houses that were broken into in Armuchee in October.
Detectives are working with officers from those agencies in an attempt to return the property to the owners. Charges will likely be made in the other counties as a result of this investigation
