Meliden men face trial over computer equipment

TWO men accused of handling stolen computer equipment appeared before Prestatyn magistrates yesterday.

Helena Jackson, prosecuting, said the equipment was stolen from a bungalow in Maes Meurig, Meliden, early in September. Police officers, acting on information, found it in Anthony Wilkes' home in Ffordd Tanrallt, Meliden, on September 28.

Wilkes, 28, said he had been asked to look after the items by Nathan Ward, 23, of Purbeck Avenue, Prestatyn.

Both men denied the charge and will face trial on February 21. Wilkes pleaded guilty to a separate charge of possessing cannabis.
