Instruments, computer stolen from school (1 p.m.)

Several musical instruments and a computer were stolen from August Knodt School on Tuesday night, principal Frank Souza said, creating the possibility that two students will be unable to perform during Saturday’s Lathrop Christmas Parade.

The burglars, Souza said, also are believed responsible for some graffiti sprayed on an exterior wall of the K-8 school, which is in south Stockton and is part of the Manteca Unified School District.
