MIRAMAR School computer missing: The supervisor for internal suspension at Everglades High School, 17100 SW 48th Ct., told police he arrived at work at 7 a.m. Nov. 9 and discovered that a laptop computer and a Motorola portable radio were missing from a portable classroom. The computer was valued at $800. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
Home ransacked: A burglar entered a home in the 2200 block of Northwest 162nd Way through an unlocked rear sliding glass door between 7 and 10:51 p.m. Nov. 20. The burglar stole a Sony laptop computer valued at $1,500, a Ruger pistol valued at $500, a Beretta semi-automatic valued at $500, a bracelet valued at $695, an Xbox video game system valued at $350, jewelry valued at $2,500, an Apple iPod valued at $300, a Bose speaker valued at $300 and Duracell batteries valued at $20. Some of the items were recovered during an investigation of an unrelated burglary in the 1500 block of Northwest 157th Avenue, police said.
