Computers Stolen, Glass Broken At Local Pre-School

School thefts are what happened at one local pre-school. Bertie County Sheriff's Deputies say a thieves broke into C.G. White School in Powellsville and stole several items.

Early Tuesday morning, the janitor at C.G. White discovered broken glass and several things missing. Deputies say 8 PC units were gone, 12 flat screen monitors, 3 digital cameras and several computer accessories were stolen. Bertie County School Officials are saddened by the incident -- saying the pre-schoolers and kindergartners attending the school are at a disadvantage now, because many of those items were vital in improving the children's education.

Bertie County Sheriff's Deputies believe more than one person may be involved, and are still uncertain about how the thieves got into the school..
