Urbana police seek suspects in theft of computers

Champaign County Crimestoppers and Urbana police this week are seeking help in solving a burglary to an Urbana business in which a large number of computers and accessories were stolen.

During the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, between 4 p.m. Nov. 28 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 1, someone broke into a business on Federal Drive in Urbana. Because of the continuing investigation, police did not release the name of the business.

Someone stole 19 Hewlett Packard computers, 19 Acer 17-inch computer monitors and associated keyboards, computer mouses and patch cables. The computers and monitors were all new and still in their boxes.

Urbana police are requesting any information anyone has about this crime.

Crimestoppers will pay a reward for information that leads to an arrest for this burglary. Cash rewards also are paid for information on other felony crimes or fugitives in the Champaign County area.
