Lincoln - Lincoln police are investigating the theft of more than $16,000 in computers and electronics from The Carroll School on Baker Bridge Road last week.
According to Lt. Kevin Kennedy, the school was broken into sometime between 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11. The perpetrator, or perpetrators, gained entry to one of the school buildings through a window and stole nine laptop computers, three desktop computers, two 17-inch LCD monitors, a digital recorder and a digital camera, Kennedy said.
Kennedy said police investigated a similar incident at the school in 2001 and were ultimately able to track down the computers and arrest those responsible.
