Bold robber caught on camera again in St. Louis Park

Was a Forest Lake robber unlucky, stupid or both?

Even though police put out the word about a bold robber who walked into a Forest Lake computer store and walked out with a laptop, it hasnt stopped him from hitting other businesses.

After 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS first showed the suspects picture after robbing Rolltex Computers in Forest Lake on March 24, police say several others have come forward, claiming the robber is the same person who stole from them.

We know of at least three cities that have the suspect on their radar. But they have lots of help in the form of security camera video.

Doc Drone, of Hoigaards ski shop in St. Louis Park, says the suspect that hit a Forest Lake store last week also shook their safety.

"We've added locks to the doors, have to have a pass key to get in. We don't want anyone to have any access at this stage of the game, without knowing who they are," Drone said.

It was 5:30 p.m. three weeks ago when they noticed a laptop missing. However, he left behind his face and the car he was driving.

"It surprises me how bold he is. There was somebody in an adjacent office and offices across the way with doors open. He had absolutely no fear of walking in," Drone said.

St. Louis Park Police say theyre confident it's the same man who is behind a robbery in Forest Lake and believe he's responsible for at least two crimes in the city.

Police believe the man is 35-year-old Robert Mohs, charged with stealing from a Minnetonka Best Buy in January. According to officials, the suspect seen in surveillance footage from Hoigaards and Rolltex.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS stopped by Mohs apartment Monday night. He said he was charged for the Minnetonka theft and wouldnt answer any questions about the St. Louis Park and Forest Lake incidentsin which no one has been charged.
