£30,000 of computer equipment stolen from Dalbeattie warehouse


POLICE are investigating the break-in and theft of £30,000 worth of computer equipment.

Laptops and other computer equipment were stolen from a warehouse at Biggars Mill, Port Road in Dalbeattie sometime between 20:10pm on Monday night and 8.30am Tuesday morning.

Detective Constable Grant Wilson from Stewartry CID said: “We need to trace the people responsible for this high value theft.

“We are keen to speak to the driver of a red coloured Ford Focus seen travelling slowly near the area at around 16.00hrs on Monday 9 March. A white coloured van was also seen nearby at around 21.30hrs that night, we would like to trace and speak to the driver of this vehicle as well.

He added: “We are also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered any forms of laptops, memory cards and other IT equipment in the past few days.”
