NOVA SCOTIA COMPUTER STOLEN ACROSS NOVA SCOTIA - Nova Scotia News - TheChronicleHerald.ca:
Stellarton doctor’s computer stolen
Stellarton police want help finding a doctor’s stolen computer that may contain patients’ personal files.
The computer monitor, the central processing unit and keyboard appear to be the only items stolen from the physician’s Foord Street office, Insp. Hugh Muir said in a news release Monday.
Police did not name the physician, who will contact each patient individually.
Entry was gained by smashing a ground-floor window facing a lane on the north side of the building. The burglary took place sometime between 12:30 and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Insp. Muir said.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Stellarton Police at 902-752-6160, their local police agency, or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
