Burglars grab TVs, computers

Athens-Clarke police reported Tuesday that thieves entered several homes in different neighborhoods, including:
► The 100 block of Briarcliff Road, where a man said burglars entered between 4 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday and stole an Xbox, a Wii, an iPod, a digital camera, jewelry and two laptop computers with a total value of $11,900. Officers weren't sure how the thieves got inside.
► The 100 block of Oxford Court, where residents, including three University of Georgia students, said someone stole three computers, a flatscreen TV, an Xbox, DVDs and games with a total value of $6,100. Officers didn't find evidence of a break-in, and the burglars may have gotten in through an unlocked back door between 8:15 and 11 a.m. Monday.
► The 200 block of Highland Park Drive, where burglars kicked in the back door of a home between 6 and 7 p.m. Monday and stole a necklace and watch valued at $2,400.
► The 100 block of Sycamore Drive, where a man said he left home at 10:30 a.m. Monday and returned about 4 p.m. to find his back door unlocked. Two TVs and a PlayStation 3 with a total value of $1,576 were missing.
