CALIFORNIA COMPUTER STOLEN HPQ Apartment ransacked; television, computer stolen:

LAWRENCE, Apr 07, 2009 (The Eagle-Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- HPQ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Thieves broke into an apartment at 305 S. Broadway and stole a 60-inch Magnavox television, a Hewlett-Packard desktop computer and two video game systems, police said.

A woman reported that she returned home about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and her door was ajar, police said. She entered to find her apartment in disarray. Mirrors had been removed from the walls and every room was ransacked, according to police reports.

Police said they believe the thieves broke in through a window.

Detectives are investigating.
