GOLDEN GATE — Someone stole thousands of dollars in alcohol, cigarettes and computers during the overnight burglary of a Hispanic grocery store, according to a report.
The report states an employee arrived Monday morning to El Mercadio Mexicano, in the 2400 block of Southeast Bonita Street, and found the back door of the store had been kicked in.
Large quantities of Newport cigarettes and Budweiser beer were missing from the store along with two Hewlett-Packard laptop computers.
An unspecified amount of cash had been removed from one of the registers as well, according to the report.
